Personal Injury
In the past, I’ve worked on both sides of the “v.” Today, and since 2009, my practice is limited to representing only plaintiffs. I understand the needs of the injured to recover quickly and keep the appellate process moving. I also understand the mentality the defense will be coming from. Using this knowledge, I can help persuasively tell your clients’ stories and provide top-level analyses on their appellate issues. Whether you need assistance with an auto accident, FELA, medical malpractice, or product liability case, I’m available to assist you throughout Florida.
Commercial Litigation
Before devoting my practice to appeals, I spent seven years as a commercial litigator with the national law firm of Foley & Lardner. There, I represented some of the nation’s largest banking institutions, retail chains, and manufacturers in all types of commercial disputes. From check fraud and breach of contract, to landlord-tenant and construction disputes, my practice covered a broad spectrum. I’ve maintained my skills in commercial cases as an appellate attorney, handling breach of contract, foreclosure, insurance coverage, and attorneys’ fees issues on appeal. I understand that all litigation and appellate issues are also business decisions that impact your client’s bottom line. I’ll advise you not only on what can be appealed, but I’ll also tell you the expected costs up front to help your client carefully weigh his or her options.
By limiting my practice to two areas, I am able to focus my expertise and provide my clients with advice in areas with which I am deeply familiar.
